HYGROSCOPE P
Calcium Oxide
HYGROSCOPE P is a powder of 95 % calcium oxide to delay reactivity and is used as a desiccant
in PE Masterbatch, PP Masterbatch, Rubber Compounds and PVC Plastisol
which are cured pressurless (Micro wave system, LCM, Hot air or Fluid bed)
Moisture which presents in all Plastic, PE, PP, Rubber and PVC chemicals, especially fillers, will be
absorbed and the calcium oxide will change to calcium hydroxide after reaction with the moisture.
HYGROSCOPE P should be used in order to prevent blisters and porosity in the
following Plastic and rubber processes;

1. PE Masterbatches, PP, Masterbatches, PVC Plastisol….
2. Pressurless continuous curing systems like Micro wave, LCM, Hot air, Fluid beds,
3. Low pressure curing in the cable industry,
4. In cases where the influence of humidity in rubber compounds should be suppressed.
5. Industrial application.

HYGROSCOPE P can be supplied in sachets containing any weight between 0.5 kg and 25 kg to suit
customers requirements.
